In 1981 I was instrumental in creating the company Brendeck, my aspirations were to create a market leader in the Vehicle Wash Industry. Having been in the industry for many years I feel I bring stability, enthusiasm and experience to the management team, as a hands on Managing Director our company benefits from being a respected supplier in the industry.

I would like to feel my entrepreneurial expertise rubs off on my team allowing the business to operate with or without me. I am proud of the personal service we give our clients and I feel it’s my responsibility to service our clients like I would expect myself.

My team are; passionate, enthusiastic, professional with honesty and integrity.

Linda Clarke - Finance and Operations Director

My career at Brendeck started 25 years ago, back in those days we were a small team with large aspirations, thankfully most of my aspirations have been achieved at Brendeck as the company has gone from strength to strength servicing a UK based blue chip client list.

I first started in 1989 as general admin support where my duties included; answering the telephone, booking service calls, credit control and invoicing. In 2004 one of the Directors retired and I was promoted to Company Secretary and financial and operational director. My general can do attitude saw me in overall day to day control of the business. As part of the company’s growth I was instrumental in delivering our ISO 9001 in April 1999 which helped us open the door with larger blue chip clients.

We are a very loyal company to our staff and clients where we pride ourselves on meeting our clients requirements no matter how challenging. Locally I like to keep busy where I love to spend time with my family, I am also very active in the Methodist Chapel Life.

Iain McIlwain - Sales Director

As the company’s Sales Director it’s my responsibility to align our company sales force with the ever changing Vehicle Wash Industry, from introducing new Vehicle Wash Systems that deliver operational advantages to our clients through to keeping an eye on new technologies in the industry.

Having spent over 20 years in our industry. I feel I am ideally placed to position Brendeck in the market competitively, guaranteeing exceptional products backed up by excellent service delivered by a committed team of industry experts.

At Brendeck we have created a family of experts all working together for the benefit of the clients. We pride ourselves on building long term partnerships with our clients and enjoy our reputation of a can do company in the industry.

Paul Burgess - Service Manager

Peter Southey - Project Manager

I was initially employed by Brendeck as a workshop fitter and engineer in May 2003. The continued expansion of the company created a new opportunity as stores supervisor which allowed me to become internal which was perfect as my external knowledge would be very useful in looking after the engineers. The company’s ethos is based on knowledgeable staff so it was no surprise that I was further promoted to the post of projects Manager for the whole company in 2011. My role includes; meeting site agents to discuss the scope of the works, pre ordering of all equipment prior to the commencement of the projects, organization of transport, labour and overseeing installation from start of ground works to final customer handover.

Over the years my strong technical background in mechanical engineering and site work has proved very useful to both Brendeck and the clients.

Adam Kirk - Design Manager

I joined the Brendeck team after I graduated from Nottingham Trent University where I gained my honours degree in building surveying. I was very lucky to be offered my current position as Design manager specialising in; creating the groundwork technical drawings for construction, proposing Vehicle Wash layouts to meet the clients individual requirements and facilitating on site and off site client planning meeting to deliver the perfect Vehicle wash systems for the clients.

Since I started at Brendeck I have been amazed at our extensive client base and how we deliver such a wide variety of systems eg pressure washers, fixed arch washers, and three brush roll overs all to our exacting ISO 9001.

My fresh approach to Technical Design has been warmly encouraged within the business especially as Brendeck have had a very experienced team in place for such a long time. Getting the opportunity to liaise directly with clients has proved personally very satisfying.

David Wall - Stores Supervisor

I was offered a fantastic opportunity in 2012 to join the Brendeck team as the Stores Supervisor where I was given responsibility for the supply of parts as well as making sure they are delivered on time, guaranteeing our clients continuity of service through a readily available supply of stock. It is part of my remit to liaise with our regional engineering team generating service reports and estimates.

My expertise is being able to turn my hand to any general day to day problems, I can generally be relied upon to create a solution to a problem.

Jayne Morris - Accounts Supervisor/Customer Service

My employment began at Brendeck in 2008 where I was employed as a customer service administrator where my day to day activities include liaising via email and telephone with clients and co-ordinating service calls. I quickly gained experience in accounts and progressed to Accounts Supervisor where my main duties include; invoicing and credit control.

Recently my job role has expanded into creating the operating and maintenance manuals for our new clients that have had new wash system installed. It feels like my whole working life has been spent in the office environment where I guess bring a wealth of day to day experience to the fore.

My job at Brendeck is perfect as I live within a couple of miles of the company, I enjoy being part of a positive team who genuinely love to look after each other and our clients.
