NRG Riverside

NRG Riverside approached Brendeck to offer a solution for pre-MOT inspection underbody washing of vehicles. The written scope of works was based on using a STERTYL lift for manual underbody washing. Due to the complexity of the site layout Brendeck’s design and scope of works consisted of the following parameters:

  • Create a Washbay suitable for a STERTYL lift with adequate drainage to take away the vehicle residue.
  • Install a 10000-litre class one three stage interceptor, 40 metres of drainage run and create a new branch with manhole cover into the existing foul sewer.
  • A GRP plantroom was installed to house the Electric Pressure Washer, Cat 5 specification water tank, chemical container, distribution board, internal lighting, and frost protection.
  • An internal stainless steel automatic hose reel with a remote on/off control was positioned in the washbay, with direct connection to the Electric Pressure Washer.
  • The Washbay was encased in a three-sided screen which was structural steel calculated based on the site location and various other conditions.
  • Internal Washbay lighting was fitted for operation of the facility during winter months.
  • In conclusion, the collaboration between NRG Riverside and Brendeck in developing a comprehensive solution for pre-MOT inspection underbody washing of vehicles has yielded remarkable results. By meticulously designing and implementing a washbay infrastructure tailored to accommodate a STERTYL lift and associated equipment, Brendeck has not only ensured efficient underbody washing but also addressed the crucial aspects of safety and environmental responsibility. Given the success and effectiveness of this project, NRG Riverside has made the strategic decision to integrate this exceptional design standard into all their future sites. This commitment not only showcases the confidence in the efficiency and safety benefits offered by Brendeck's equipment and expertise but also underscores the dedication towards standardized practices that prioritize both time efficiency and safety in vehicle maintenance processes.
